Pilates Matwork is an exercise system that derives from Joseph Pilates' original core principles: Concentration, Centering, Control, Precision, Breathing and Flow. The body is addressed as a whole - strengthening, lengthening, stabilising, mobilising and articulating in all planes of movement. Prepare for a constant flow of effort with each exercise transitioning to the next.
During Mat classes, we incorporate small apparatus to vary and challenge the programs.
Have a ball! This is a fun and challenging class to discover balance, build on technique and develop muscle strength and endurance. The unstable base of the Fitball allows for exciting new ways to challenge your core, and range of your movements. Build confidence in your capabilitiy and be pushed to expand your potential with every class! Fitball at Pilates House may be incorporated with the Mat repertoire, or, as a class in itself. We love to mix things up!
Pilates Tower is a spring based apparatus derived from the Pilates Cadillac. Get set to take your Mat Work development to the next level! Challenge your range of movement, control and full body strength on our luxe Gratz high mats. Expect to learn more about your body and how it moves, as you strengthen the mind-body connection with the help of spring resistance. The use of the arm and leg springs, spring bar and push through bar challenges and/or assists each exercise to fast track results for a better aligned, balanced, toned, supple body.
Introducing our ballet inspired fitness class, with exercises performed to music. A fun and energetic exercise style, Barre is a gorgeous fusion of Pilates, Vinyasa Yoga, Barre Conditioning and Plyometric Movements for a well-rounded workout. Classes can range from fast paced, energetic and cardio inspired: to sculpt and sweat; to flowing, calming and stretching: to centre you, mind body and spirit.
A dynamic fusion of Mat Pilates and Fitness Boxing. This class is the perfect mix of cardio, strength and focus. Boxilates intensifies the traditional Pilates class with the pace and co-ordination of Fitness Boxing. Using boxing pads and gloves, you'll combine short boxing drills and cardio intervals with functional movement as well as Pilates Matwork repertoire. Get set to sweat!
Metafit is High Intensity Interval Training, designed to create a metabolic disturbance in the body, causing an "after burn effect" (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) which measurably increases the body's resting metabolic rate. This class is designed to boost your fitness, sky rocket your energy levels and produce massive results in the shortest time possible. Not for the faint hearted, Metafit is a challenging mix of compound, explosive exercises and primal movements executed in short bursts with even shorter resting periods. A very rewarding class!

Suitable for expectant mothers from the second trimester of pregnancy, we provide mindfully structured programs to help alleviate the pain associated with the pregnant posture whilst working to safely strengthen and gently stretch out the body. Each exercise is prescribed, with a specific goal in mind; from healthy pelvic floor function, to breathing techniques, upper body endurance, lower body strengthening... all with the common goal to have the best possible pregnancy, labour and recovery. This class is all about feeling refreshed and amazing, you'll leave confident that you had a great, modified workout.

Each participant works through their own program, which is made up of 6 specifically chosen 'stations' (from apparatus including Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Barrels and Tower, to barre, mat, arcs, props or our incredible cardio Skill Mill) Circuit is the perfect blend of group work and personalised Studio training...its the best of both worlds! Circuit classes are available only to those signed up to the CIRCUIT PACKAGE or membership.
Do you like to sweat? Then look no further. Cardio Duet at Pilates House is a mix of HIIT, Skill Mill training, Studio Pilates and Boxing drills. Yes, we feel fitter just reading that too. If Cardio fitness, toning, weight loss and increased energy are your goals, booking in to regular casual classes, or joining our Studio Membership is the way to go.
Our fully equiped Studio Room is ready and waiting for you to come and play! As with any Pilates House sessions, there is no experience needed...just come along, towel and water bottle in hand and enjoy the ride! Appointments for Private or Duet sessions can be made at any time 6am-6pm Monday-Friday with limited sessions available Saturday morning.
